About Us
AlphaLaunch provides a full range of technical and business support
services that help corporations, universities, entrepreneurs and venture
capital firms commercialize innovative technologies.
AlphaLaunch’s founder and president is Dr. Dennis R. Pape. Dr. Pape
founded AlphaLaunch in 2002, after serving two years as Director of Optics
and Photonics at MILCOM Technologies in Maitland, FL. In that role Dr.
Pape was responsible for developing several technology new ventures
including Terawave Optical Networks (TeON), Polymod, IsoPix, InPower, and
Chromalux.
Prior to joining MILCOM, Dr. Pape founded and served for 14 years as
President of Photonic Systems Incorporated (PSI) in Melbourne, Florida.
An institutional venture-backed company, PSI developed and marketed
optical information processing technology products to both government and
commercial customers.

Dr. Pape also serves as an Entrepreneur in Residence at the
University of Central Florida Technology Incubator in Orlando, Florida.
In addition to its in-house staff, AlphaLaunch utilizes an extensive
network of professionals to facilitate expedient and successful business
